Healthy Living
Since living in Byron Bay, I have been grateful enough to be constantly purchasing food from local farmers markets.
Most of the food from local farmers markets comes from local organic farms. Obviously occasionally I have been purchasing from Coles and Woolworths. But it has lately become much easier and cheaper to support the farmer's.
This means that all produce is fresh and healthy. No chemicals. As well as having a personal interaction with the food that I eat.
Yesterday (On Friday) Mullumbimby Farmer's Market's were on. Although I am currently living closer to the Queensland Border, I went for a 2 hour walk and run (1 hour walk, one hour run) after doing some yoga in bed- highly recommend doing yoga by Sjana (https://sjana.com.au). Followed by a thirty minute Vipassana Meditation on the couch outside. And then I made my way to Mullumbimby Farmer's markets.
it felt so fresh and rejuvenating, my entire body felt so enlivened in that space. I grabbed produce for the entire household. Then made my way to Ocean Shores for a quick swim at South Golden Beach, before grabbing a coffee at Yum Yum Tree Cafe, before heading home.
I bought a whole lot of fresh tomatoes, pumpkin, chilli, sweet potato, potatoes, lettuce, basil, rocket, mixed greens, cauliflower, broccoli, and bananas.
This past week we have been making our very own Oat Milk. Lots of smoothies, ice cream, hummus, chai, and all the lot more.
Stay tuned, lots of amazing recipes and inspiration coming your way. xx
